4 ways to feel more healthy

Looking after yourself is important. It not only helps with preventing illnesses, but you’ll feel better in the morning and be more positive overall.

There are many things you can do to look after yourself from exercising more, to drinking plenty of water and improving your diet.

Below are four of the best ways to help you feel more healthy and positive about yourself.

Improve your diet

Are you struggling to eat the recommended 5 a day? If so you are not alone. Many people do which is why they feel sluggish when waking up in the morning.

It is important to try and eat as much fruit and vegetables daily as possible.

If you are struggling to get enough in, then why not add it to your breakfast or add some extra vegetables to your dinner? Even by making it a rule that you have two fruits, veggies or salads with each meal, will mean you get at least six portions a day! Then, add in snacks of fruit and a pure juice or homemade smoothie and voila! You’ll be filling your body with so many amazing nutrients and doubling the 5 a day!

If you are not sure what nutrients you are getting into your body you should try installing a nutritional app and track what you are consuming. By tracking what you are eating you will be able to see what nutrients or minerals you are not getting enough of. It could be that look into taking some natural NMN Supplements to help with any deficiencies.

Drink more water

How much water do you drink daily?

If it’s less than 2 litres then you are drinking less than what is recommended daily. However, it also depends on your exertion levels.

Drinking water is extremely important for your health. It helps with reducing headaches, improving physical performance and helps with your mental wellbeing.

If you are struggling to drink enough water then one tip is to fill up a 2 litre bottle first thing in the morning and carry it around with you. If at the end of the day it still has liquid in it, you know you are not drinking enough.

If you are feeling hungry, this could actually be because you are thirsty and your body is dehydrated.  If it’s not time for a main meal, yet you feel hungry, see if a glass of water does the trick.

Exercise

Exercising is the key to being more physically active whilst helping your mental health.

No matter your ability, there is a form of exercise for everybody. Whether that be going on a long walk, to something more physical like playing football or rugby.

If you don’t currently do anything, why not join a sports team at a beginner level and try something new out? If you don’t like it you can always stop and try something else. The trick is finding exercise you like and will stick with. Not everyone enjoys the same types.

If you don’t like the idea of a sports club, you could always try bouldering, badminton or even running if you would like to be around less people.
