Don’t let pandemic stress grind you down

The modern world was already a pretty high-stress environment for the vast majority of people before COVID decided to make everything a whole lot more difficult and complicated.

Living under the current pandemic with lockdown measures, social distancing, and all of the other things that we’re all just having to get used to can be a source of major stress and it can often feel incredibly difficult to drag yourself out from under it.

However, things are difficult enough, and allowing pandemic stress to take over your life is just going to make things worse.

With that in mind, here are some things that you can do to avoid letting pandemic stress grind you down.

Make plans

One of the things that a lot of people have noticed while living in lockdown is that time has started to lose all meaning.

It really feels as though there’s no beginning or end to the week anymore and a month can just disappear in a haze.

This can end up making it feel like this is all going to last forever.

However, it’s important to remember that it won’t.

One of the best things that you can do to drive away some of those pandemic blues is to make plans for what you’re going to do when it’s all over.

Make travel plans. Come up with ideas for a full day out with the family. Whatever it is that you want to do, why not make it into something to look forward to.

COVID supplies

Making sure you have supplies at home that can help you to stay covid safe when out and about can help you feel more comfortable when it does come time for you to go out in public. For some, the stress of covid can be enough to stop people from leaving home. However, having a backup of face masks can give you peace of mind if you find it stressful leaving the house, there are so many options available on the market today, as well as hand gel, antibacterial wipes or spray, gloves and tissues.

This may seem a little bit much especially as many places have this ready for you to use, but having your own ‘covid-safe’ supplies can help calm the nerves in regards to making sure you reduce the risk of transmission and your chance of contracting it from a member of the public if that’s something that is really worrying you.

Switch off from the world

One of the things that can make this whole situation so much more stressful is that it’s practically impossible to hide from it.

Between TV news and social media, it’s often impossible to escape all of the, often terrible, news that comes out every single day.

So instead, why not just take some time to switch off from the world from time to time?

Run yourself a hot bath, relax your mind and body with some Hemp CBD oil, and just let the world disappear for a while.

It’ll still be there when you get back but at least you’ll be recharged and ready to face whatever it can throw at you.

Reach out

It can be incredibly isolating living in the age of COVID, but one of the things that you should always remember is that it’s always possible to reach out to people for support.

Even if they can’t physically be with you, there’s no reason to just try and shoulder everything by yourself.

The reality is that there will always be things about the current situation that are going to cause a whole lot of stress. But it’s also important to remember that this isn’t going to be forever.

As long as we all do our part and wait it out as best we can, we will eventually be able to get back to something that’s at least close to how the world used to be.

It’s just a matter of doing everything possible to avoid letting the whole situation get you down until then.

This too shall pass.

  1. I like these suggestions. I suspect I may have adjusted a bit too much to all the restrictions, and should probably make more conscious effort to adjust back!
